Foraged Floral Arrangements

Learn how to arrange flowers into a vase with local florist Sarah Stracke of Locust Floral. Sarah focuses her work on creating arrangements that still feel like earth. She’ll talk about sourcing locally and foraging wild material. Sarah will teach us about the materials we’ll be using in our arrangements and discuss the variety of materials needed to create a successful arrangement. Lastly, sharing how to best care for an arrangement from harvest to vase.

Learn all about bees with Resident Farmer and Beekeeper Liesel.

The class starts on The Workshop patio where you’ll get suited up in a protective beekeeping jacket and veil. You’ll learn about the parts of the hive, how to handle frames and gain insight on bee stages of development and their life cycles. During the workshop, you’ll also look at eggs and larvae, find queens, see how bees store nectar and honey, and see Farmer Liesel identify and address any hive problems in real-time.

Attendees are encouraged to wear light colored pants and closed toed shoes. No beekeeping experience is required.

In the event of rain, hive checks will not be rescheduled. Attendees will be refunded.

Spend an evening on the Finley River with 37 North Expeditions. This introductory workshop starts with an easy float up and back where you’ll learn the basics of SUP and get comfortable on your board. After about an hour, the group heads to shore for craft cocktails and conversation at The Workshop. One cocktail is included in the ticket price for those ages 21+. One complimentary non-alcoholic drink is included in the ticket price for those under 21.

Mix things up with a date night on the water. During this workshop with 37 North Expeditions, you’ll float up and back on the Finley River by kayak while taking in the sunset.
