Fire Cider is an herbal tonic that has been used for generations to support digestion, immune function, and respiratory wellness. It is made by infusing apple cider vinegar and honey with warming vegetables and herbs, such as garlic, onions, ginger, peppers, turmeric, horseradish, citrus, and more.
Resident farmer and herbalist Liesel McCleary will discuss the history of Fire Cider, the medicinal benefits of each ingredient, and explore ways to get creative in customizing your own recipe.
Each participant will make a personalized batch of Fire Cider to take home, just in time for the winter cold and flu season. All materials are included, and herbal tea will be provided.
