Workshop & Book Signing with RuthAnn Zimmerman

Join author and homesteader RuthAnn Zimmerman for an afternoon of practical, hands-on learning centered around preserving one of the season’s most beloved fruits.

Guests will explore several time-honored methods for extending the life of fresh apples, including dehydrating, canning or freezing applesauce, preparing apple pie filling for the freezer, and fermenting apples.

Along the way, RuthAnn will share tips, techniques, and encouragement for bringing simple homesteading traditions into everyday life. Following the workshop, guests are invited to stay for a book signing featuring The Heart of the Homestead and My First Homestead Book of Chores. Bring your own copy or purchase one at the event.
