You’ll explore the art of flintknapping as you work with local chert to create sharp stone flakes\, then learn to make strong 2-ply reverse-twist cordage using natural plant fibers. \nBlending history\, craftsmanship\, and a deeper connection to the natural world\, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to slow down\, work with your hands\, and gain an appreciation for the ingenuity and resourcefulness that helped shape human history. \nParticipants will leave with their own stone tools\, handmade cordage\, and a newfound understanding of the first technologies ever created.
